NCFC Youth set to Host Inaugural ECNLRL Finals

ECNL BOYS REGIONAL LEAGUE - CAROLINA ANNOUNCES FINALS WEEKEND TO CROWN SEASON CHAMPIONS

RALEIGH, NC (April 19, 2021) – The ECNL Boys Regional League - Carolinas, consisting of ECNL member clubs in North and South Carolina, is excited to announce Regional League - Carolinas Finals Weekend.  This event, set for June 12-13 in Raleigh, N.C. and hosted by member club NCFC, will be the culminating event of this unique 2020-21 season. Conference champions will be awarded in all six age groups.

“The ECNL Boys Regional League - Carolinas Finals Weekend gives the players and teams something exciting to play for to finish a challenging but rewarding year,” said ECNL Boys Commissioner Jason Kutney.  “I’m sure this event will produce competitive and fun matches for the players and will create great anticipation for an even more exciting 2021-2022 season.”

The top four teams in each of the six age groups, as determined by the final regular-season standings, will qualify for the June event. The top seed will face the fourth seed and the second seed will play the third in a semifinal game Saturday. The two winners will advance to the Championship game, while the other two teams will compete in the third-place game. Both will be held on Sunday.

“We are excited to have the teams and the clubs come to Raleigh to finish out the season,” said NCFC Director Rich Flaim. “The directors in this conference have a good working relationship and are proud that we completed the season during this challenging year. We wanted to do something for the teams that have excelled throughout the year and this will be a great way to finish the year with significant competition.”
