(Raleigh, NC) – June 16, NCFC Academy Director, John Bradford, announces the 2021-22 Academy team coach assignments, NCFC Academy Program staff, and expanded programming ahead of next season.  Additions to staff in both the Pre-Academy and Academy programs will offer a wealth of depth and experience, and a focus on additional programming will provide opportunities for continued player development at the highest level.  With the announcement, the Boys Academy program continues to evolve to best serve the needs of the elite soccer player.

“I am thrilled to announce our Team Coaching list and our Program Staff for the upcoming season in both our Pre-Academy and Academy Programs,” said Director, John Bradford. “This collection of coaches bring a phenomenal level of experience both as coaches and players, combining years of professional, collegiate, international, and youth coaching and playing backgrounds – all marked with quality player development.  We’re fortunate to have a world class staff that will have an extremely positive impact on our players development going forward.”

2021-2022 Boys Academy Additional Programming –

  • Flexible School Training Program - we are excited to continue this program of additional training opportunities for those players that are in flexible schooling situations. The Flex School Training Program provides meaningful and additional training for our NCFC players on Academy and ECNL level teams.  The training is for high school age players U15-U19 with a focus on technical and functional development.  All training sessions are orchestrated with the players' overall training load in mind in accordance with their team periodization.
  • Homestay and Education Program - we are excited to announce the formation of our NCFC Youth Homestay Program starting in the summer of 2021. This Program offers high school aged players from around the country a unique opportunity to train and play with the North Carolina FC USL 1 professional team and North Carolina FC academy team. These committed athletes have been identified by the North Carolina FC recruiting department as individuals with talent to compete at the next level.
  • Players who are selected for the North Carolina Homestay Program will move to the triangle area, which includes Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.
  • Scouting Program - we have been in the process of building out and formalizing our scouting process and reach.
