The NCFC Youth Recreation Program is one of the biggest soccer programs in the country with more than 6,000 players annually. Our Recreation Program serves Cary, Garner, Raleigh, Wake Forest, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Durham, Chapel Hill and other surrounding communities. Games are played in the Fall and Spring, and Scott Becker is the Recreation Director.

Registration

Registration for the 2018 Spring Recreation season will open October 16, 2017.

We are using a new platform for our registration this year so all families must create a family account (under parent/guardian's name) first, and then register for the desired programs.

Spring 2018 Uniforms

All U5-U12 players are required to purchase the Adidas NCFC Youth Recreation jerseys. Fall 2017 marked the beginning of our 2 year Adidas uniform cycle meaning that players who purchased Recreation uniforms in the Fall do NOT need to purchase new uniforms.

Players will need to purchase both the navy and the red jerseys. The Recreation "home" game jersey is Navy.

U13-U19 Recreational players' uniforms are organized by their coach, so they are not required to purchase these uniforms.

Coaches

All Recreation Coaches are volunteers and generally parents of players on the team. Coaches are tasked with teaching the basic skills and fostering a supportive and fun environment for all players. Coaching Education classes are held each season to help coaches learn the appropriate soccer activities and gain valuable tools to help them on the field.

Skill Level

Recreational soccer is designed for beginning to advanced players with a focus on FUN.

U5-U6

Our U5-U6 program is organized in a different manner due to the age and ability level of the youngest players.
-U5-U6 teams have "1 event" on the weekend - generally held on Saturdays
-The event consists of a practice and game combination
-The event starts at the time listed on the schedule. First, players will practice for 30 minutes, then have a 5 minute break, then play a 32 minute game. The game is broken into FOUR 8-minute quarters.
-The volunteer coaches run practices and both head coaches act as referees during the game
