Challenge Team Managers

Everything Team Managers need to know before, during and after the season!


I. Risk Management (Required)

All head coaches, assistant coaches, team managers and any other adult with a role on a Challenge team, must be "risk managed", which means complete and pass North Carolina Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA)'s Risk Management system. This must be done before practices start and you MUST notify your area administrator so they can begin the process of Risk Management and perform a background check.

II. Team Dues & Budget Guidelines

Challenge teams have team dues which cannot exceed $200 per player each year. View an example team budget too.

IV. Team Bank Account

NCFC Youth teams are required to create an independent bank account to conduct business on behalf of the team.

V. Tournament Request Form

Teams must fill out a tournament request form if they are attempting to play in the 3rd or 4th tournament of the season, an "out of season" tournament.

VI. Permission to Travel

You will need to complete a Notification to Travel form anytime your team intends to play outside the state of North Carolina.There is a fee associated with this form. The form must be completed online.

VII. Sanctioned Tournaments

VIII. Roster

Rosters are generated by NCYSA then red-stamped by one of our registrars once players have been carded.


IX. Uniforms

Fall 2017 marks NCFC Youth's inaugural year and Year 1 of the adidas uniform cycle. All NCFC Youth players must purchase the uniform kit online using a link the Team Manager will provide over the summer.

Returning Challenge players that wish to return to their previous season's team must register by this date.
