Challenge Team Managers
Everything Team Managers need to know before, during and after the season!
I. Risk Management (Required)
All head coaches, assistant coaches, team managers and any other adult with a role on a Challenge team, must be "risk managed", which means complete and pass North Carolina Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA)'s Risk Management system. This must be done before practices start and you MUST notify your area administrator so they can begin the process of Risk Management and perform a background check.

II. Abuse Prevention Training (Required)
In response to the new federal law enacted on February 14, 2018, all team officials are required to complete the Abuse Prevention Training video and quiz prior to being added to a challenge team roster and to be validated with their team official card. Team officials are required to complete the child abuse training program and a background check before they can volunteer/coach/represent NCFC Youth.
Once you have completed the Risk Management application, please notify your Challenge Administrator. Once they are notified, they will be contact with the NCFC Abuse Prevention Liaison to have your named added to the database. Once you are added to the database you will receive an email from [email protected], with further instruction. Please keep in mind that once you complete the Risk Management application, it is not an automatic process to receive the Abuse Prevention Training. In high volume times of the year, it may take several days to receive the email.

Challenge teams have team dues which cannot exceed $250 per player each year. View an example team budget too.

NCFC Youth teams are required to create an independent bank account to conduct business on behalf of the team.

VI. Tournament Request Form
Teams must fill out a tournament request form if they are attempting to play in the 3rd or 4th tournament of the season, an "out of season" tournament.

VII. Notification to Travel
You will need to complete a Notification to Travel form anytime your team intends to play outside the state of North Carolina.There is a fee associated with this form, and must be completed online from the NCYSA website. Please do this as soon as you have registered for your out of state tournament.

IX. Roster
Rosters are generated by NCYSA then red-stamped by one of our registrars once players have been carded.
X. Uniforms
Fall 2019 marks NCFC Youth's inaugural Year 1 of the adidas uniform cycle. All NCFC Youth players are requited to purchase the uniform kit online through soccer.com. Once teams and players are loaded into the soccer.com database by each team's manager families will receive an email from soccer.com with their team's ordering uniform template.
Please do not go onto soccer.com before receiving the email to order the uniform.
