WRAL Soccer Park Bench Donation Program

NCFC Youth continues to invest in making WRAL Soccer Park a destination for participants, spectators, and visitors. We’ve made investments in the facility, including a $3.8 million renovation in 2015 which resulted in paving, permanent restrooms/shelters, field enhancements, walking path, irrigation updates, and more. Other large-scale investments included field upgrades in 2022 and 2023, which added 2 new turf fields and new turf on 3 fields. Other recent enhancements and upgrades include bathroom renovations and athletic trainer facilities. These investments and priority areas are all with player safety and the visitor experience in mind.

We are excited to engage our community and supporters in a bench donation program to further enhance the visitor experience, while also recognizing a business or individual. This is a meaningful way to honor or remember friends/loved ones or promote your company. The program is designed to assist NCFC Youth, through donor funding, to install benches in and around WRAL Soccer Park and other venues (if applicable) that have been identified as appropriate and suitable.

Your donation of a bench helps beautify our facility, while also providing a practical and meaningful amenity that thousands of visitors to our park can enjoy and appreciate.

Guidelines

  • Bench donations are $5,000 (one-time donation).
  • This includes the bench, installation, materials & supplies, labor, and inscription (if applicable). NCFC Youth will be responsible for all of the aforementioned items related to the bench.
  • NCFC Youth will source the bench and approve it to be in line with the aesthetics of the park and overall bench donation program.
  • A limited number of benches are available.
  • Bench locations will be predetermined by NCFC Youth. NCFC Youth will limit the number of benches that can be placed within the park. A specific location is not guaranteed.
  • At the donor's option, the name of the loved one memorialized, honored or business may be inscribed on the bench.
  • NCFC Youth will make every reasonable effort to maintain benches but will not be responsible for acts of nature, damage or vandalism that may affect the longevity of the bench. At NCFC Youth’s sole and absolute discretion, NCFC Youth may make repairs or replace benches, but shall not be required to replace or repair.
  • NCFC Youth reserves the right to remove or relocate a bench if it becomes unsafe or needs to be removed for any reason and at any point. For the one-time donation, NCFC Youth’s goal will be for each bench to last at least 12 months, and hopefully, much longer.
  • Non-perishable items, such as photos, plastic flowers and beads, are not permitted and will be removed from the bench or surrounding bench area.
  • Donations may be eligible for charitable receipts for income tax purposes. Please consult your tax advisor.
