About the Program
Our Goalkeeper Training Program is directed and coached by current NCFC Youth Director of Goalkeeping, Stephen Palmer, Assistant Director of Goalkeeping, Daniel Trues, and NCFC Youth Goalkeeper Coaching Staff.
Our Goalkeeping staff lead position specific training for all goalkeepers involved in our Classic, ECNL, and Development Academy programs, as well as offering an introductory program for goalkeepers in our Juniors program. All goalkeepers are provided with a minimum of two sessions per week in addition to their respective team training sessions during the season.

Curriculum
Our Goalkeeping curriculum includes individual technical, tactical situations, and position specific development. In select sessions we provide goalkeeping classroom sessions covering analysis, positioning, communication, and more. The Goalkeeper program is a challenging, high-level functional training environment for advanced goalkeepers with aspirations of playing at an elite level.
Players interested in our Goalkeeping camps and programs must create an account in PlayMetrics to register for 2024 Fall Player Development Program Parents or guardians should create an account in their name and add each child as a participant. Existing players will just need to login to their accounts.
Goalkeeper Adv Player Development Program
NCFC Youth's Adv Player Development Program is a supplemental program provided by our Goalkeeper Staff on Friday and Sunday nights. The program provide goalkeepers with a high-paced training environment focused on the technical development of the player through scenario-based learning.

Spring Adv Player Development Program
Goalkeeper Adv Player Development Program provides a supportive and fun environment for goalkeepers to push and compete with other like-minded goalkeepers. There will be opportunities to engage with current Academy Goalkeepers, former NCFC Youth goalkeepers currently playing in the college environment, and NCFC and NC Courage professional goalkeepers to share experiences and talk about how they have benefited from supplemental training and other similar environments they may have encountered.
Cost for the Spring Adv PDP Series is $175 and is available for players in our Juniors, Classic, NPL, ECNL-RL, ECNL, & Academy programs. Sessions are available at Wake Competition Center (Sundays) and WRAL Soccer Park (Fridays).

Player Development Program for Recreation and Challenge
Our Player Development Program for Recreation and Challenge is a great opportunity for players to experience a position specific training environment under the direction of NCFC Youth's Goalkeeper staff. Goalkeepers will receive a fundamental approach to improve their technical ability and learn more about the basics of the position. Cost for PDP Recreation and Challenge is $150.
PDP is available in blocks with 4 sessions per block - please see below for dates.

Adv PDP & PDP - Refund & Amendment Policy
Registration Cancellations
- 15+ days from start of program = full refund
- 8-14 days from the start of program = 50% refund
- 7 or less days from the start of camp = no refund

Registration Changes
Any participant wishing to change their registration must do so at least 8 days prior to the scheduled start date of the first training. Any change request received 7 or less days from the start of first training will not be approved.

Adv PDP & PDP - Weather Policy
In the case of inclement weather, the session will be halted under the pavilions and/or inside the various facilities (depending on location) until the inclement weather has passed and play can safely resume.
This is an outdoor program, which means the whole session will take place outdoors. In the event of extreme heat, extended breaks will be given.
In the event of weather-related cancellations, no refunds will be issued. If weather results in 2 or more days of cancellations, a partial refund or credit will be issued if a makeup day cannot be implemented.
Goalkeeping Camps
Calling all goalkeepers! Our goalkeeping camps offer specialized training sessions led by experienced coaches to enhance skills, techniques, and game strategies. GK camps are offered for players ages 10-16 and are offered as half day camps from 9 AM - 12 PM. Players also have the option to attend the GK-specific half day camp and then join our traditional summer camp from 12PM - 4PM to utilize the skills they learned in the morning. It's an excellent opportunity for goalkeepers to sharpen their abilities and elevate their game.
Goalkeeping Camps are held at WRAL Soccer Park.
