New to NCFC Youth

North Carolina FC Youth is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Raleigh, NC and the surrounding Greater Triangle. Since 1974, NCFC Youth has been committed to enhancing each player’s soccer experience at every level and age of play.

Through innovative soccer programming, player development opportunities, and a focus on coaching education, NCFC Youth creates an environment for more than 15,000 players and 800 coaches to grow on and off the field.

As the largest club in North Carolina, NCFC Youth is proud to offer Recreation, Juniors, Challenge, Classic, NPL, Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), and community outreach programs. NCFC Youth strives to improve the quality of life for our players, families, and community through the game of soccer.

Our History
1974
Capital Area Soccer League (CASL) was founded.
1981
Capitol Broadcasting Company and Jim Goodmon helped finance land for WRAL Soccer Park.
1982
WRAL became host venue for the visitRaleigh.com Showcase Series.
1987
WRAL expanded from 14 to 21 fields with stadium, lights, and irrigation.
1995
'77 Raleigh Spartans won first USYS National Championship for NC.
1999
Triangle Futbol Club Alliance (TFCA) was formed.
2002
CASL played a pivotal role in opening WakeMed Soccer Park.
2003
'88 CASL Elite boys won the U14 USYS National Championship.
2011 & 2012
'94 CASL Chelsea Ladies won back-to-back ECNL National Championships.
2015
WRAL Soccer Park underwent a $3.8 million renovation.
2016
CASL '02 Academy Juniors won the USYS U13 National Championship.
2017
CASL inducted into Raleigh Hall of Fame and entered historic collaboration with NCFC.
2019
NCFC Youth awarded the Triangle Business Journal Corporate Philanthropy Award.
2021
Wake Stone Athletic Park opened in partnership with community leaders.
2023
NCFC Youth received the John B. Ross Jr. Leadership Award.
2024
NCFC Youth celebrated 50 years.

North Carolina FC Youth is proud to be able to provide a variety of positive, and high quality camps, clinics and individual training programs.

Goalkeeping Program

Position-specific training for all goalkeepers across Classic, ECNL, and Academy, plus introductory training for Juniors. Includes a minimum of two sessions per week.

Supplemental training for U7–U8 players that bridges the gap between Recreation and competitive soccer with an additional training night.

Goalkeeping Program

Our Goalkeeping staff lead position specific training for all goalkeepers involved in our Classic, ECNL, and Development Academy programs, as well as offering an introductory program for goalkeepers in our Juniors program. All goalkeepers are provided with a minimum of two sessions per week in addition to their respective team training sessions during the season.

Junior Development Program

Challenge soccer is a intermediate competitive program that requires players to try out and provides a higher level of competition and commitment than our Recreation program, but lower time and financial commitment than Classic.

Elite Technique

Elite Technique (ET) is a weekly supplemental training program held on Sunday evenings for Academy, ECNL, ECNL-RL, Classic, Juniors and high level Challenge Players born in 2012 - 2003 during the season. The curriculum is developed by NCFC professional staff and focuses on breaking down individual techniques and mastering them to become a “complete” player in a high intensity and demanding environment.

Skill Building

This supplemental training program is ideal for any Juniors, Challenge or Recreation player looking to improve their confidence and ability in 1v1 attacking, running with the ball, receiving and passing with all surfaces of the foot, and controlling aerial balls with all areas of the body.

TOPSoccer

TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) athletes are up to age 18 with a disability including but not limited to: A.D.D., Autism, Hearing Impaired, Sight Impaired, Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injury, Cystic Fibrosis, Down Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Seizure Disorder and Spina Bifida.

La Liga

Historically, the Latino population is often underrepresented in youth club soccer across the country often due to economic, cultural, transportation, communication, technological, or other barriers to access. NCFC Youth is dedicated to opening the game of soccer to all youth regardless of ability, financial resources, or other barrier.
