Meet our Summer Interns:

In celebration of National Intern Day, meet our summer interns! It has been a pleasure to have Bella Johnson, Hannah Achilles, and Devyn Arroyo working as NCFC Youth's Camp and Events Interns, and Brooke England working as a Marketing Intern. Read below to learn more about them, and what lead them to becoming interns at NCFC Youth.

Hi! My name is Brooke England. I am beyond excited to be working as NCFC Youth's Marketing Intern this summer!

I am currently majoring in advertising and minoring in business at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Throughout my past two years spent at Tennessee, I fell in love with the world of social media marketing, advertising, and graphic design. I have had the opportunity to manage and create content for UTK’s Barstool Sports social media accounts, create graphics of all kinds for my sorority, run a small business, and even manage a TikTok account for my social media strategy professor; the possibilities have been nothing short of endless and have allowed me to realize what my ideal career path is.

When I was searching for a summer internship within the marketing realm, seeing one from NCFC Youth was very exciting. I played soccer from the time I was 6 to 17 years old, and being a part of NCFC has made a long-lasting, positive impression on my life. Combining my interest in marketing and love for soccer makes this my dream internship. Working for an organization that gave me so much growing up has been such a rewarding experience that I have enjoyed thoroughly.

Hey! I’m
Hannah Achilles and I am so excited to be back for a second summer with NCFC Youth as a Camp and Events Intern!!

I spent the last two years of school at Brevard College where I was a member of the Women’s Soccer team. I spent some time majoring in Biology and Exercise Science until I had an injury which led me to be out of playing for a while. During this time I fell in love with coaching and overall just helping make things happen - this led me to change my major. I will be transferring to Wingate University where I will be studying Sports Management and minoring in coaching. I have been blessed to be able to get hands on sports experience during my years at school where I have been coaching U8 and U10 girls as well as helping coach and teach in specific skill programs. I have loved working within a club setting and I am stoked to be able to get even more experience this year.

I grew up playing soccer for NCFC which is how I found out about this summer internship. I held the same position last summer but unfortunately my time was cut short due to ankle surgery. I knew that I wanted to come back this year because I love everything about it. We get to see so many sides of what actually goes into the club and we get to make some great connections and memories along the way.

Hey y’all! My name is Bella Johnson and I’m from Raleigh, North Carolina.

I will be a senior this upcoming semester at North Carolina State University. I’m majoring in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management with a concentration in Event Management. I grew up playing soccer for NCFC Youth and am beyond excited to get to work with an organization I love! I can’t wait to see what I get to learn as an intern this summer!

Hey everyone, my name is
Devyn Arroyo and I am currently one of the Summer Events and Camps Interns for NCFC Youth!

I currently am a senior attending the University of Florida. I am completing my bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management with a specialization in management. I am enrolled in the online program which I transferred to two years ago from ECU where I studied Marketing and Business Administration. I am passionate about the events and hospitality industry and being able to work with others. I enjoy going on hikes, meeting new people, trying new things, traveling, spending time with family and friends, doing fun creative projects, and chilling with my dogs!

This internship has allowed me to explore the sports industry in regards of events, hospitality, and sports management. I have also been able to experience how the work culture is at NCFC Youth and I will have to say, I truly am impressed by the work environment and the work culture, I look forward to each day.. I am surrounded by such wonderful people here at NCFC Youth and I am excited for the rest of my weeks as an NCFC Youth Events and Camps Intern.
