NCFC Youth Welcomes International Exchange Group for Leadership Workshop

NCFC Youth recently partnered with International Focus last week to host an incredible group of young leaders from Algeria, alongside local American youth, as part of a cultural and leadership exchange.
International Focus, a nonprofit dedicated to building global understanding and respect through face-to-face diplomacy and cultural exchange, brought the group to North Carolina for a multi-stop cultural experience. As part of their visit, NCFC Youth led a dynamic leadership workshop at our main office.
Bradley Morrison, Director of Coaching Education & Development, and Katharine Eberhardt, Chief Marketing & Development Officer, guided the youth through classroom sessions and on-field exercises. The workshop focused on leadership development and team dynamics, connecting concepts from coaching and playing to real-life situations.
Additionally, one of the Algerian mentors had a one-on-one mentoring session with Nicole Turner, Director of Supplemental Programs, Assistant NPL Director, and head girls NPL coach, who shared her experience in youth, coach, and personal development.
The group’s broader visit included stops with the Cary Teen Council, NC Council for Women and Youth Involvement, NC Legislature, NC Museum of Natural Sciences, and NC State University’s Entrepreneurship program.
We were humbled and inspired by these young changemakers and proud to be a small part of their North Carolina experience. This exchange reminds us of the powerful role sport plays in building bridges and fostering leadership across cultures.
